Target Groups

The target population at various levels of formal and non-formal education and training includes:

Students of Classes I to XII in schools (Primary, Middle, Lower Secondary and Higher Secondary stage of formal education)
Classes V to VIII drop outs who do not join the non-formal general education programmes and prefer to join the world of work
Classes VIII to X drop outs or incomplete schoolers who do not join various trade schools or institutes (Out-of-School Population)
Labour force who may wish to upgrade their skill base and competence
Students at the tertiary stage of education
Persons who are disabled/ handicapped or have specific learning disabilities
People looking for retraining and skill upgradation after retrenchment.
