NCVEI

National Centre for Vocational Education Information

A National Centre for Vocational Education Information (NCVEI) has been established within the PSSCIVE with the objective to promote a national, regional and international network of vocational educational information systems and services based on voluntary co-operation of related and other organisations and facilitate effective access to information. The NCVEI consists of a library, a computer centre and guidance & counseling centre.

Services

NCVEI is a member of electronic forum (E-Forum) of UNESCO-UNEVOC and receives and disseminates information received from E-forum member countries. It has developed database on ISIS software, which include abstracts of papers/documents on vocational education. The NCVEI is providing information regarding VEP to states through its information retrieval services. Each faculty of the PSSCIVE is looking after the allotted state for collection and dissemination of information related to the state. It has initiated an extension lecture series at PSSCIVE for sharing views and experiences with eminent educationists and academicians on new concepts in vocational education and training.
