Dr. Saurabh Prakash, Associate Professor (Rural Technology) and I/c Head

 

Dr. Saurabh Prakash, M.Tech. from IIT Kharagpur and Ph.D from Barkatullah University Bhopal. He joined the Pandit Sunderlal Sharma Central Institute of Vocational Education on 2nd July 1994 as Reader in Rural Technology in Engineering & Technology Division. Prior to joining to NCERT, he served as Scientist at Central Institute of Agricultural Engineering, Bhopal an ICAR institute for 8 years. Dr. Saurabh Prakash has undertaken multifarious activities i.e., Research in the area of Vocational Education; Preparation of Guidelines on Work Education; Development of Curriculum and Instructional Material; Organization of Training of key resource persons/ teachers; Contributed activity units in textbooks and practical manuals for vocational students at +2 level and pre vocational students. He was also a member of Institute Advisory Board. He is also a member of the editorial board of Indian Journal of Vocational Education, Bhopal. He has more than thirty-one Research papers / articles; Four Text/ Reference books; Three Research monogram; to his credit and coordinated development of Fourteen instructional material meetings. Mr. Deepak Shudhalwar, Assistant Professor (Sr. Scale) in VE (CSE)

 



Deepak Dinkarrao Shudhalwar, born in 17th April, 1971, obtained his Masters degree in Computer Science in April, 1995 from Dr. B.A.M.U. Aurangabad and then completed M. Phil. in Computer Science from Alagappa University, Karaikudi, TN. He worked as Programmer cum Faculty in Kamla Nehru College, Nagpur for two years before joining as a Lecturer (Computer Science/Engg) in PSSCIVE, NCERT, Bhopal on May, 1997. He is having 16+ Years of combined academic experience including previous 2 years of teaching in various subjects of Computer Science at UG & PG level and the present 14+ years in planning, designing and coordinating Research, Development, Training and Extension programmes in the area of Vocational Education and in the subject of Computer Science and Information Technology. He is also contributing in the University Examination work in the capacity of Examiner for setting Question paper, conducting Practical viva and Project evaluation for BCA, MCA, MCM & M. Sc. in Computer Science. He is a Life member of Indian Society of Vocational Education. He has undergone 5 short duration training programmes, one UGC Orientation programme (4 weeks) and 3 UGC Refresher courses of 3 weeks duration. He had attended a few International and National Conferences. He is having 5 applications to his credit including PSSCIVE website, 12 papers/articles, 15 curricula, 15 Instructional Modules. He has coordinated 15 Training and Orientation programmes and participated as a Resource person in 15 others. He has worked as an Expert for Design & Development of Course Curriculum and Textbook at CBSE and DCETA, NCERT, New Delhi. He has also contributed in the Institute Corporate by way of working as a In-charge Computer Center and EDUSAT Coordinator. The present improvement in the IT infrastructure in the institute is the result of his efforts taken for a long period. He is known for his commitment, planning, management and execution of the project in effective and optimized manner. His area of interest includes, Software Engineering, Integration of Information Technology in Educational activities.
